Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

We need a School-Age certified Teacher. •
You Must BE:
21 Years of age to meet driver insurance coverage, less than 2 points on your Motor Vehicle Report. The minimum experience requirement is two years, and the salary range is $19.00 to $22.03 per hour. This position has the potential to earn up to $2.00 extra per hour for a all school qualified teacher-floater who can work any schedule and any classroom at the discretion of the school's operational needs, and a $5.00 per-day stipend per trip as a driver. Job Duties:
Manages classroom, ensuring compliance with all
MSDE-OCC
regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures. Provides a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents, and visitors. Maintains attractive and current classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly. Creates and implements thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating by weekly themes and Celebree's curriculum; manages effective classroom transitions. Assists and supervises children during all activities; counsels children as needed using positive and appropriate discipline techniques. Ensures the classroom's appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment are appropriately maintained. Accurately completes all classroom paperwork, e.g., Sunshine Reports, accident reports, and attendance records. Communicates effectively with parents, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns promptly, giving positive feedback, and providing regular updates on their child's development and classroom happenings. Identifies opportunities and/or problems in the classroom and school and works with the assistant teacher and/or school director to resolve them. Required to drive a minivan. Clean MVR, no more than -2 points. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent 90 Hour Certificate - School Age Driver's License Clean MVR Record and all other MSDE Office of Childcare requirements
Physical Demands:
The physical demands are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the job's essential functions successfully. The job requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting, and carrying, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Reliable Transportation is required.
