What we're looking for: Valid Maine Special Education (282) Teaching License Experience in a school-based setting, preferably as a Special Education Teacher Commitment to fostering an inclusive, accessible, and positive learning atmosphere Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues Open to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Key responsibilities will include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Delivering instruction in resource classrooms or 1:1 environments, based on your background Monitoring student progress and adjusting educational strategies as necessary Coordinating with related service providers and support staff Participating in IEP meetings and maintaining accurate documentation Advocating for the needs and rights of students Take advantage of this rewarding full-time position, working 35-40 hours per week in a contract role within an energized and welcoming school community.
