Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position where your passion for supporting students can truly make a difference. This contract opportunity is ideal for Special Education Teachers who are dedicated, flexible, and ready to collaborate with a diverse team of professionals. The assignment offers both resource classroom and 1:1 case management options, tailored based on your experience and expertise.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education (282) Teaching License required Background in resource-style classrooms or experience with 1:1 case management preferred Commitment to full-time hours (35-40 per week) Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with special needs Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment Work collaboratively with general educators, therapists, and support personnel Communicate consistently with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records, complying with district and state requirements
