Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in an elementary school environment as a dedicated paraprofessional supporting K-5 students through a life skills-based curriculum. This contract opportunity, running from August 2026 through June 2027, offers the chance to work closely with experienced educators, helping students achieve their fullest potential. Enjoy a consistent 32-hour work week, fostering strong relationships and routines.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Educational Technician II or III certificate is required Previous paraprofessional experience in school settings is highly valued Familiarity with life skills or special education curricula strongly preferred Ability to effectively support young learners in K-5th grade Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Role Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom teacher in daily instructional activities and classroom management Support individual and small-group learning with a focus on life skills development Implement lesson plans and adaptations under teacher supervision Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Help with behavioral supports, mobility, and personal care as needed Track student progress and communicate observations to educational staff
