DutiesDevelop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children aged 12 to 18 monthsCreate a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through playUse effective behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and emotional regulationConduct regular assessments of child progress using standardized testing methods and document developmental milestonesCommunicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, challenges, and achievementsCollaborate with colleagues to design inclusive lesson plans that incorporate early childhood education best practices such as Montessori or preschool methodologiesEnsure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies at all timesMaintain detailed records of daily activities, attendance, and individual child development notesIncorporate literacy education, basic math concepts, physical education activities, and early intervention techniques into daily routinesApply classroom management skills to foster an organized learning environment conducive to young childrens needsRequirementsProven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schoolsStrong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategiesExperience developing curriculum tailored for toddlers or preschool-aged childrenFamiliarity with special education needs and behavior management techniquesExcellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectivelyCertification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development preferredAbility to adhere to mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocolsClassroom experience demonstrating effective lesson planning and classroom management skillsKnowledge of standardized testing methods used for early childhood assessmentExperience teaching physical education or incorporating movement-based activities into daily routines is a plusFamiliarity with Montessori or other specialized early childhood educational philosophies is desirableJoin us in creating an enriching environment where young children can thrive!
