As soon as qualified candidate found The Kittery School District is currently seeking a full time STEM teacher for the 2026-27 school year at Mitchell School. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience teaching elementary students. In addition to experience, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of the most recent Maine Learning Results and Next Generation Science Standards and be able to use these, along with technology to create a thorough STEM curriculum that incorporates science, math, engineering and technology. The skills the students are taught will flow into the 4-12 STEM program in Kittery and transfer to their chosen fields beyond high school. The candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and communicate effectively with adults and children from a variety of ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The candidate will also interact with children in a warm, nurturing way to ensure a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth and help move the Kittery School District Vision 2030 forward. Candidates must submit to a Criminal History Record Check through the Maine Department of Education.
