  • Full-time, Contract Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required.

This contract opportunity, set to begin at the end of August 2026 and running through mid-June 2027, allows you to work with a dedicated caseload of 30 students, leveraging your expertise in early childhood special education. You'll enjoy the rewarding experience of helping students achieve their greatest potential in an encouraging and resource-rich school environment.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Special Education (SPED) license in Maine is required Experience in elementary education, ideally with K-3rd grade students Proven ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and organizational skills Collaborative approach to working with general education staff, parents, and support teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of a K-3 caseload Create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging classroom for young learners with diverse abilities Manage and maintain accurate documentation for IEPs and student progress Collaborate with families, support staff, and administrators to develop comprehensive learning plans Foster social, emotional, and academic growth in every student Provide modifications and accommodations to support educational access and success This full-time, five-day-per-week role offers 37.5 hours of meaningful interaction and growth each week.
