Key Qualifications:
Valid Maine (ME) teaching license required Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred Strong ability to develop and adapt curriculum to meet individualized student needs Skilled in managing high school caseloads with diverse learning challenges Excellent communication skills for working with students, staff, and families Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
Responsibilities:
Deliver differentiated instruction for high school students in the ESY program Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress Collaborate with fellow teachers, related service providers, and support staff Maintain accurate records and document student progress throughout the program Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Uphold school policies and classroom management standards
