Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. We are seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to provide exceptional support to preschool students in a school setting located in South Paris, ME. These full-time contract positions include one float position and one full-time position, both focusing on a preschool caseload. These roles offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners requiring specialized educational services.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each preschool student's needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress. Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to promote learning and development. Monitor and document student performance and progress according to state and federal requirements. Adapt curriculum materials and classroom activities to meet diverse learning needs. Participate in team meetings and professional development activities focused on special education best practices.Qualifications:
Valid Maine Special Education Teacher License. Experience working with preschool-aged children in special education settings preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
