Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Aftercare Teacher to join our dynamic youth development team. In this vital role, you will create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours, ensuring their well-being and fostering their growth through structured activities and supervision. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help children develop social skills, confidence, and a love for learning while participating in enriching programs. Responsibilities Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies to foster a respectful environment Facilitate youth group activities, sports, arts, theater, and outdoor adventures to encourage teamwork and creativity Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress and needs Follow all first aid protocols, including administering CPR or AED when necessary, to ensure immediate response to emergencies Collaborate with team members to plan engaging curriculum activities aligned with childhood development principles and special education needs Skills Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order in a lively environment Experience working with children of various ages, including those with special education requirements Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols Demonstrated ability in child supervision, childcare, and youth program facilitation Background in camp experience or outdoor work that supports active engagement outdoors Proven team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide children effectively Experience in teaching or tutoring young children, including childhood development strategies Ability to implement behavior management techniques that promote positive interactions among children Skills in Christian counseling or youth development programs are a plus for fostering holistic growth Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, and team members Join us as an Aftercare Teacher to inspire young minds through energetic engagement and dedicated care.
