Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real difference in the lives of high school students by bringing your expertise to a dynamic educational environment. This contract opportunity invites an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with approximately 17-20 students in grades 9-12, creating meaningful learning experiences and fostering student growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid state certification in Special Education Proven experience working with high school students (grades 9-12) Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and collaboration skills Compassion, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs Write, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed Foster an inclusive classroom environment that allows each learner to thrive Provide guidance and support with academics, social skills, and behavioral goals
