Job Description

Make an impact supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This contract role offers the chance to work closely with resource room learners in a supportive environment, ensuring each student receives quality instruction and individualized attention. The position is located near Eau Claire, MI and covers a single school assignment for the duration of the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Active Michigan Special Education Teaching certification (accepting CI, LD, or EI endorsements) Experience with or strong interest in middle school resource room settings Strong classroom management and differentiation skills Ability to collaborate with school staff and support teams Commitment to fostering an inclusive and motivating classroom climate
Primary Responsibilities:
Teach and support middle school students in a resource room environment Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and service providers Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to district guidelines
Role Specifics:
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Academic year contract: August 31, 2026 through June 4, 2027 Assigned to one school, focusing on middle school-aged students Panel/casual remote interview process District supervision and collaboration with other professionals Experience a welcoming atmosphere and make a difference in students' educational journeys in a valued support role.
