Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a dedicated Special Education Teacher in a well-supported resource room setting. This contract position is designed for a passionate educator who thrives in a self-contained classroom, providing tailored support and instruction to students with diverse learning needs. This full-time opportunity starts August 31, 2024, and runs through June 25, 2025, aligning with the academic year. The role is based onsite, working directly with a middle school caseload that will benefit from your skills and experience.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Active Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement (required) Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably within a school resource room Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs Commitment to fostering positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Documentation of all required certifications with submittal
