SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES POSITION VACANCIES EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR & PROGRAM

Five (5) Teachers

CLASSROOM

ECSE (1) & MoCI (1) Extended School Year & SCI (3) Program

SUMMER SESSION

Dates and work times will vary based on assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree with a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. Special Education approval in the area of Mild Cognitive Impairment, Moderate Cognitive Impairment, Severe Cognitive Impairment, and/or ECSE. Possess a valid Michigan driver's license.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To maintain and understand the rules, processes, and procedures in meeting students' programming needs. To provide a record of student performance available to administration, parents, and the IEP Team. To carry out instructional goals and objectives for students. To communicate with parents and/or guardians regarding the students' overall welfare. To maintain communication with the Program Supervisor and other staff members in a positive working relationship. To effectively use materials and equipment in an instructional setting. To maintain student control in the educational setting. To demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in programming when it appears to be in the best interest of the student. To assume other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
