Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting students' growth and achievement in a vibrant educational setting near Fenton, MI. This role is tailored for passionate educators dedicated to making a positive impact throughout the new school year (NSY). As a key member of a collaborative team, you'll work closely with students, families, and staff to address diverse learning needs across three positions (SPED x 3). Your expertise will support inclusive education and foster an engaging learning environment where every child's potential can shine.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with students with varying exceptionalities Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Commitment to maintaining a positive, supportive classroom climate Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with students' IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress Provide behavioral support and guidance as needed Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and professional development Create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
