A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Position Overview:
Birch Agency is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support students with a variety of educational needs. The ideal candidate will deliver specialized instruction, collaborate with staff and families, contribute to student support planning, and promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and personal success.
Required Qualifications:
Educator's License Appropriate Endorsement specific to
Special Education Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student IEP goals Develop, implement, and monitor IEP accommodations and modifications Support students with diverse learning, behavioral, and communication needs Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Utilize effective classroom management and instructional strategies
