Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Key Qualifications:
Current state certification to teach Special Education. Experience working in school settings, ideally as a Special Education Teacher. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, staff, and support personnel. Commitment to creating a supportive, equitable, and nurturing classroom community.Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to students' strengths and areas of need. Employ differentiated instruction and a variety of teaching strategies to address multiple learning styles. Assess and track student progress, adjusting approaches as needed. Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and paraprofessionals. Maintain proactive communication with families and act as a resource to promote student growth. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture.
