Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at
JPS SCMV
Options as an Instructional Parapro. This part-time position is designed to support teachers and enhance the learning experience for students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans and educational activities. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing lessons and helping with assignments. Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to teachers as needed. Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Support the preparation of instructional materials and resources. Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to identify and address student needs. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required. Assist with classroom management and behavior support strategies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote a positive school culture. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in education or related field preferred. Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed. Basic knowledge of instructional strategies and classroom management techniques. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Proficiency in using technology and educational software. Must pass background check and comply with all school district policies and procedures.
