Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher working on a contract basis near Midland, MI. This rewarding opportunity involves supporting students and collaborating with educators to foster growth in both elementary and middle school settings.
Two positions are available:
one catering to the elementary level and another serving the middle school population.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Valid special education teaching certification Experience working with students with diverse learning needs Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt instruction and classroom environment to accommodate a range of abilities Compassionate and patient approach to teaching
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom atmosphere Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families Use evidence-based strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Maintain accurate student records and monitor progress Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions Foster open communication with families to enhance student outcomes
