A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, supporting students in a dynamic school environment. You'll collaborate closely with dedicated educational teams to foster accessible learning experiences and provide specialized instruction tailored to individual needs. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in supporting children and adolescents who are deaf or hard of hearing, demonstrating innovation and flexibility in the classroom. Your insights and advocacy will be essential in helping students overcome barriers and thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Demonstrated knowledge of current instructional strategies for D/HH students Experience with both individual and small group instruction Ability to develop and modify educational materials for accessibility Understanding of assistive technology and its implementation in educational settings Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with educators, families, and service providers

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Deliver targeted instruction in accordance with students' unique learning needs Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate accommodations and modifications Utilize and recommend appropriate assistive technology and classroom resources Foster self-advocacy, communication skills, and independence among students Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings Working in this contract position, you'll experience the satisfaction of meaningful work, making a direct impact through your expertise and compassion.
