A Little About the Job! KiddieKlub is eagerly searching for our next Lead GSRP Teacher to join our amazing team! You will have the pleasure of planning for, leading, and teaching our 4-5 year-old classroom! We are looking to hire a Lead GSRP Teacher at our Rochester Rd location! You will work hand in hand with your associate teacher & KK Admin to create a warm, loving, clean, aesthetically pleasing, and educationally fun classroom for your students and families to enjoy! KiddieKlub is shifting its curriculum to Reggio Inspired classrooms and is excited to share this transformation with the right educator! Teamwork makes the dream work! Job Description Ensure the safety, health, and quality care of all children entrusted to KiddieKlub. Maintain all licensing rules & regulations for childcare centers set by the State of Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Establish and maintain open and professional communication with all parents/guardians & team members. Develop & implement an engaging, hands-on, Reggio Inspired and age-appropriate curriculum that extends into the outdoor learning environment. Complete ongoing assessments and evaluations of children and host conferences to review developmental information with families. Schedule and execute two home visits for all children enrolled in the class. Assist in training associate teachers on classroom procedures and oversee classroom associate teachers in the room. Participate in professional development opportunities and attend all KiddieKlub trainings and meetings. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the classroom. Lead Teachers must meet the GSRP qualifications upon hire. A Lead Teacher will be considered credentialed for the position with minimally any of the following:
  • A valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement; or
  • A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching. The transcript will document a major, rather than a minor, in child development or early childhood education.
  • Open to applicants who do not have the full requirement upon hire but are willing to obtain them within the timeframe GSRP requires a lead to be fully qualified.
Availability/Hours Full time availability is necessary - you must be able to work Monday through Friday 7:30-4:30pm (GSRP hours), year-round position (able to work during "GSRP Closures" and during the summer - hours will vary and may require working before 7:30am or after 4:30pm during closures and the summer)
