Job Description
Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early learners as a Special Education Teacher working with children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This full-time position runs from August 11, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. You'll be instrumental in developing and delivering individualized instruction to a caseload of 17 students, all while fostering growth and positive outcomes in a collaborative, school-based setting. Your expertise as a CI (Cognitive Impairment) Teacher will empower young students to achieve their personal and academic goals, working alongside other dedicated professionals and caring staff. You'll play a critical role in shaping a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment where every child's abilities and unique needs are recognized and celebrated.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience teaching or supporting students with cognitive impairments preferred Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and monitoring Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies for early learners Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to promoting a safe and encouraging classroom cultureYour Responsibilities:
