Job Description

Step into a dynamic, student-centered environment as a Special Education Teacher Consultant supporting middle school programs. This contract position, located near Saint Clair Shores, MI, runs from August 31, 2026, through June 11, 2027. You'll collaborate with staff and families to support students' academic and behavioral needs, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and processes. Work a consistent schedule of 36.25 hours per week, from 8:05 AM to 3:05 PM plus 15 minutes of duty time before or after school. Your expertise will be valued as you help guide progress monitoring, implement behavioral and academic interventions, and drive the success of IEPs, 504 plans, evaluations, and MTSS processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Michigan Teaching Certificate with one of the following endorsements: SM, SE, SA, or SV Approval as a Teacher Consultant OR a minimum of 3 years of successful special education teaching experience in Michigan Extensive knowledge of IDEA, MARSE, and the IEP process Proven ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff Experience supporting SPED compliance and providing behavior interventions
