Job Description

Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a school district hiring Special Education Resource Teachers to support elementary students in Walled Lake, MI. These roles focus on helping students succeed both in specialized instruction and within general education classrooms. We have multiple openings available across two school year contracts , offering flexibility and long-term opportunities. We have multiple openings from August 17th, 2026 through June 2027 . Position Details Full-time, in-person role 7.5-hour days (including a 30-minute break) | 35 hours per week Elementary school caseload Resource setting supporting integration into general education Responsibilities Provide individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals Support students in both special education and general education environments Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families Maintain accurate IEP documentation and progress reports Help foster academic, behavioral, and social growth Requirements Active Michigan Special Education Teaching License Special Education endorsement required Fingerprints/clearances required Prior IEP experience preferred Join Supplemental Health Care to make a meaningful impact in the classroom while receiving the support you need to succeed.
