Special Ed Teacher | Warren, Michigan Soliant - 3.9 Warren, MI Job Details Full-time 11 hours ago Qualifications Working with students Working with students with special education needs Special Education Certification Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference in the lives of students by stepping into a contract Special Education Teacher role for the 26/27 school year near Warren, MI. This full-time opportunity runs from August 22, 2026, through June 6, 2027, and offers the chance to work closely with exceptional learners, supporting their academic and personal growth.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure/certification as a Special Education Teacher Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying abilities Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents, staff, and related service providers Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed Create engaging, differentiated lesson plans that align with curriculum standards Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their academic and social-emotional development Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to address student needs Maintain all required documentation and comply with federal, state, and local regulations
