Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Empower students and support their unique learning journeys as a Special Education Teacher specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering intensive programming and tailored support to students. You'll collaborate with passionate colleagues in a nurturing environment dedicated to educational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and current ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) licensure required Previous experience working with students with ASD strongly preferred Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to diverse needs and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams Dedication to fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction and implement intensive programming for students with ASD Assess students' strengths and needs to develop, modify, and carry out effective IEPs Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support Track student progress, adjust teaching strategies as needed, and maintain accurate documentation Create a structured, engaging classroom environment that encourages growth and independence Provide guidance, encouragement, and advocacy to help each student reach their fullest potential Step into a role where your expertise can change lives every single day.
