Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching credential Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher in K-5 environments Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to foster a supportive, inclusive classroom culture Experience collaborating with classroom staff and families
Role Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of specially designed instruction for students with varying disabilities Develop, implement, and track student IEPs in compliance with federal and state guidelines Provide guidance and mentorship to instructional assistants or paraprofessionals Collaborate with general education teachers to promote student success and inclusion Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress meetings Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student achievements, needs, and goals Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
