Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students in a dedicated school setting near Eden Prairie, MN. This full-time contract opportunity (37.5 hours per week) is ideal for educators passionate about intensive programming and fostering positive outcomes for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher license with an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsement Proven experience working with students who require intensive programming and support Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs), behavioral interventions, and differentiation strategies Dedication to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver effective, individualized instruction and therapeutic interventions for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Design and adapt curriculum and lessons to ensure accessibility and engagement for each student Monitor, track, and report student progress against IEP goals, making adjustments as necessary Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and family members to support each student's academic, social, and emotional development Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes student independence and growth As part of this role, you'll gain valuable experience working with a supportive team dedicated to making a difference.
