Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired supporting an engaging group of students near Eden Prairie, MN. In this vital role, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct instruction and accessibility support to students with visual impairments, as well as additional disabilities. With a manageable caseload of 25-30 students, you'll make a lasting impact in a supportive educational environment across 2-3 educational centers.
Qualifications:
Valid and current licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with students with visual impairments, including those with secondary or tertiary disabilities Familiarity and comfort supporting students with severe behavior and physical challenges Strong communication and collaboration skills Flexibility and adaptability to work between multiple educational sites
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, tailored to individual needs and IEP goals Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion Adapt classroom materials and resources into accessible formats Travel across 2-3 educational centers to deliver consistent, high-quality support Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress Communicate regularly with families and team members regarding student needs and achievements
Assignment Details:
Contract position beginning September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027 37.5 hours per week Caseload of 25-30 students across North, South, and West Education Centers Serving students in a setting 4 district known for supporting individuals with significant behavioral and physical challenges If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of visually impaired students and thrive in dynamic educational settings, we invite you to apply today—bring your expertise and compassion to a team that values your unique skills and dedication!
