Job Description

Empower students to thrive by supporting special education programs as a contract Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite opportunity offers diverse settings, including an FMLA leave at a middle school, resource support for 1st and 2nd graders, early childhood special education, and center-based programs with a strong behavioral focus. You'll join a highly collaborative team committed to inclusive education and innovative behavioral interventions.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential with one or more of the following:
Special Education:
Autism Spectrum Disorders Special Education:
Developmental Disabilities Special Education:
Early Childhood Special Education:
Emotional Behavioral Disorders Special Education:
Learning Disabilities Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (optional, not required) Experience creating and implementing effective behavior plans Strong instructional skills and knowledge of classroom routines Effective communication and collaboration with both general and special education staff, as well as paraprofessionals Excellent attendance record and reliability Problem-solving abilities and flexibility in dynamic school settings
Role Highlights:
Full school year contract from August 17, 2026, through June 3, 2027 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday Serve a range of student needs, from mild to significant behavioral and academic support Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver individualized instructional and behavior interventions Foster supportive, structured learning environments that help all students succeed Experience the rewards of shaping lives in a district recognized for educational excellence.
