Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity for the upcoming school year as a Special Education Teacher, working onsite near Forest Lake, MN. This position is tailored for educators who hold both Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education certifications, supporting a unique district initiative. You'll be instrumental in shaping young minds across diverse age groups, collaborating on a groundbreaking service model within the district.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota teaching license with BOTH Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education certifications (required) Experience working in inclusive or specialized school settings with early childhood and elementary-aged students Strong communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility, adaptability, and creative problem-solving abilities Ability to provide documentation of required certifications (resume and license)
What You'll Do:
Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for students aged early childhood through elementary, following IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement instructional strategies Regularly track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings, goal setting, and parent communications Foster an engaging, positive, and supportive classroom environment to facilitate learning and growth Adapt teaching methods and learning materials to address students' specific needs Participate in professional development and district-wide initiatives related to special education practices
