Job Description
Ideal candidates will possess:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with students who have cognitive disabilities and/or autism Strong classroom management and positive behavior support skills Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including therapists, aides, and families Excellent communication skills to engage with students, staff, and parents Flexibility, creativity, and a dedicated, student-centered mindset Key responsibilities include: Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) based on student needs Employing a variety of instructional strategies and resources tailored to each student Adapting curriculum to ensure accessibility and success for all learners Monitoring, documenting, and reporting on student progress Creating a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborating with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff Fostering positive relationships and actively participating in IEP meetings and parent conferences As a valued professional in this role, you'll enjoy the opportunity to inspire young learners, help shape their educational journeys, and work within a supportive school setting that emphasizes individualized, compassionate instruction.
