Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This part-time contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about working with elementary-aged learners and supporting diverse educational needs. You'll have the chance to focus on students in an inclusive environment, collaborating with a dedicated school team to foster growth and success. The role prioritizes expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder, but applications from candidates with other special education backgrounds are also welcome.
Key Qualifications:
Special Education Teacher license required; open to other relevant licensures Experience (or strong interest) in teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder highly preferred Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to daily, onsite support for a partial school day, five days a week
Role Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction to students with special needs, primarily at the elementary level Adapt curriculum and materials to engage and support learners with diverse abilities Maintain detailed records on student progress, goals, and behavioral plans Partner with general education teachers, administrators, and families to deliver comprehensive support Foster social, emotional, and academic growth through evidence-based classroom strategies This is a .4 position—perfect for educators seeking a balanced work schedule with the ability to make a real difference.
