To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Plan, guide, evaluate, and revise a comprehensive social-emotional and behavior support program with interventions and supports aligned to district guidelines; work directly with scholars including conducting individual assessments and developing and implementing individual scholar goals and objectives; serve as a team member to support MTSS; build capacity in staff to meet building and system-wide social-emotional and behavior initiatives through professional learning for individuals, departments, and/or grade levels and collaborating with and supporting staff in meeting the social-emotional and behavior goals and objectives of scholars; support and promote School Improvement Plan (SIP) for Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) goals including implementation of steps and processes; implement the goals and objectives of the District and the school and/or program for which employed; make appropriate and equitable use of resources and technologies; maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars, working with them in the development of their scholar; design, deliver and assess social-emotional and behavior curriculum according to district guidelines; participate in district, building, and department leadership activities; provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable; work collaboratively with others. Ability to be flexible with work hours to meet the needs of the district and building at the discretion of the supervisor. Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIT) Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree required MN teaching license in appropriate field, OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.- If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2.
