Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with expertise supporting elementary learners in a resource setting. This contract position starts at the end of August 2026 and extends through early June 2027. You'll play a vital role helping students in an elementary resource setting reach their fullest potential while collaborating with a passionate team of professionals.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4); must be provided with resume for consideration Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred Proficiency working with elementary-aged students in small group or resource environments Ability to implement and adapt Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and communicating with families Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning experiences
Responsibilities:
Provide direct, onsite resource support to elementary students with diverse learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement IEPs Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet each student's unique goals and abilities Monitor student progress, documenting and reporting growth toward IEP objectives Communicate regularly with families and school team members to foster student success Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving skills within a collaborative team environment This position is an excellent fit for educators who bring enthusiasm, expertise, and care to their work.
