Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in grades 6 through 8 for an exciting full-year contract role near Remer, MN. In this position, you'll play a crucial part in empowering young adolescents, helping them unlock their potential and grow academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive school community.
What You'll Bring:
Valid Special Education teaching credentials (or eligibility) for Minnesota Experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs, particularly in middle school settings Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Flexibility and creativity to adapt instructional strategies for individual student success Effective collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and administration Passion for fostering an inclusive, safe, and positive classroom environment
What You'll Be Doing:
Delivering tailored instruction and interventions to students in grades 6-8 based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Developing lesson plans that address each student's academic and social-emotional goals Collaborating closely with general education teachers and staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate, organized records and documentation Engaging regularly with families and guardians, providing updates and support Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions Assisting with classroom management and creating a structured, engaging learning atmosphere If making a genuine difference in middle schoolers' lives excites you, and you thrive in an energetic, mission-driven environment, this full-time opportunity is for you.
