Description:
Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy for a Special Education Teacher at Roseville Area Middle School (RAMS). Preference will be given to candidates with DCD license and/or experience. The licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction aligned to the state standards to meet the unique needs of middle school students with disabilities.

Core Responsibilities:
IEP Management:
Functions as the IEP Manager for assigned students, evaluating and assessing progress against instructional objectives while strictly following state-mandated due process procedures.
Instructional Delivery:
Delivers specialized instruction centered in racial and cultural responsiveness, utilizing formative assessments to plan for and adapt to student learning needs.
Collaboration:
Collaborates closely with general education staff, including participation in co-teaching assignments to support students in the least restrictive environment.
Leadership & Coordination:
Schedules student services and paraprofessional support; provides direct supervision and guidance to paraprofessionals.
Communication:
Maintains regular, proactive communication with parents, guardians, and the broader instructional team.
Qualifications:
A valid Minnesota Teaching License in Special Education is required. Preference given to candidates with DCD licensure/background. The candidate should possess strong instructional skills centered in cultural responsiveness and a demonstrated commitment to developing lessons for a diverse student body. Demonstrated interest and effectiveness in working with middle school students (grades 7-8). Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to an equitable education experience for all. Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence. Middle school experience preferred.
Compensation:
Minimum full-year, full-time starting salary for this position is $53,085, plus a district contribution toward health and dental insurance.
