A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
Qualifications:
Active Minnesota special education license (required;PELSB/MDE
only) Must hold a minimum Tier 2 license Preferably experienced in supporting students with autism (ASD) Previous experience managing a specialized caseload is a plusResponsibilities:
Lead specialized instruction for up to 10 students Collaborate with support staff (Paras and Intervener) for holistic student care Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each students strengths and needs Communicate regularly with families and school teams Foster a positive, inclusive academic environmentBenefits:
