Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid special education teaching licensure Expertise or experience in supporting students with developmental cognitive disabilities Demonstrated proficiency working with elementary-aged children, preferably K-2 Collaborative spirit and ability to work closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families Strong communication and organization skills to ensure individual education plan (IEP) successPrimary Responsibilities:
Design and implement differentiated instruction tailored to student abilities and learning goals Develop and update individualized education plans in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment that encourages growth and independence Conduct regular assessments and monitor student progress, adapting strategies as needed Partner with families and support staff to deliver a cohesive, student-centered approach Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development as required Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule from 8am-4pm and the satisfaction of helping students overcome challenges and reach their fullest potential.
