Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract This full-time opportunity is ideal for dedicated Special Education Teachers eager to support K-12 students with diverse learning needs. Located in Anderson, Missouri, this contract position offers multiple openings, with a focus on delivering tailored instruction through either self-contained or resource settings. The school is actively interviewing and looking to fill these roles as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student assessments and needs Provide specialized instruction within self-contained classrooms or resource settings for K-12 students Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to ensure student progress and well-being Maintain thorough documentation of student performance and compliance with educational standards Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Missouri teaching credentials with a focus on Special Education Experience managing K-12 caseloads with demonstrated success in IEP development and implementation Ability to perform all general duties associated with the Special Education Teacher role Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a growth mindset paired with a positive and professional attitude
