Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a school in Brookline, MO, seeking dedicated educators to support K-12 students. Multiple openings are ready to be filled promptly, with interviews happening as soon as possible. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population, managing either self-contained classrooms or resource settings, depending on placement needs.
Responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Delivering instruction and support to students with disabilities across various grade levels (K-12) Collaborating with staff, families, and administration to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting teaching strategies accordingly Maintaining compliance with all special education policies and procedures within Missouri Qualifications and desired experience: Valid Missouri Special Education teaching credentials Proven ability to manage K-12 caseloads effectively in either self-contained or resource settings Experience with IEP development and execution Strong work ethic combined with a growth mindset and a positive attitude toward professional challenges Ability to perform all general special education teacher roles and duties with competence and care Benefits of this position include the chance to make a significant impact on students' lives, collaborate in a supportive team atmosphere, and engage with a community committed to educational excellence.
