This full-time role (37.5 hours/week, NSY) provides a unique blend of responsibilities across both high school and elementary settings: Serve approximately 12 high school students (class numbers usually 8-9) Guide about 6 elementary students with the support of two classroom assistants Utilize your EMD licensure to deliver specialized instruction and foster a nurturing, inclusive environment
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher credentials (EMD license required) Experience working with high school and/or elementary students with special needs Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills Ability to adapt lessons to a variety of learning abilities Desire to grow through travel and embrace new educational challenges
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with assistants and general education staff Promote a supportive, positive environment for all learners Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Engage with parents and teams for holistic student development
