DUTIES:
Provide counseling to special education students who require such services. Work side-by-side with teachers to assess students' needs and to improve student behavior. Provide staff development focusing on students with difficult behaviors and related topics to teachers as needed. Develop functional behavior assessments. Develop and implement functional behavior plans. Develop and implement behavior modification plans as a member of the IEP team. Provide individual counseling as specified on the individual IEP. Provide home/school behavior intervention support models. Consult with out-of-district facilities of which Jackson County School District has placed students for individual services. Support paraprofessionals/contracted personnel assigned to students with difficult behaviors. Support Principals with discipline related issues as it relates to special education students. Serve as a member of the District Behavior Support Team.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
187 days employment, salary to be based on teachers pay scale and certification level.
