Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time teaching position is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2026/2027 school year in Laurel, Montana. This role involves providing specialized educational support to students with visual impairments through both one-on-one and group instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction to visually impaired students to support their academic and developmental goals Manage caseloads including coordinating services and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs Complete thorough progress reports and documentation to track student development and communicate with families and educational teams Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to integrate visual impairment accommodations within the classroom environment
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting Strong case management skills with the ability to maintain detailed records and progress reports Ability to deliver both individualized (1:1) and group instruction effectively Excellent communication and collaboration skills This position is offered as a contract role with an expected commitment of 25-30 hours per week.
