Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Concord, NC BlazerJobs - 3.4 Concord, NC Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Visually impaired education Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with Orientation & Mobility (O&M) endorsement. In this dynamic educational role, you'll be providing vital school-based TVI services, making a lasting impact on learners' academic journey for the 2026-2027 school year. Flexible scheduling is available—full time and part time options—ensuring you can shape work around your life, all while guiding students toward greater independence.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active North Carolina TVI licensure with O&M endorsement Demonstrated experience in school-based environments, preferably with ECATS documentation systems Previous work as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired; strong advocacy for students' needs Ability to collaborate closely with school teams, families, and specialized service staff Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive vision assessments and develop tailored instructional plans Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments Maintain accurate student records and progress data, including ECATS entries Support IEP development and participate in related meetings Provide orientation and mobility instruction for safe, confident navigation Partner with school staff and parents to promote inclusive academic environments Serve multiple school locations as assigned
