In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers, fostering their growth in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical domains. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention and high-quality instruction aligned with best practices in early childhood education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence young lives positively while collaborating with dedicated staff and engaging families in meaningful ways. The hours for this position are 8:30-5:30 Duties Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum tailored specifically for two-year-olds, incorporating age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, physical development, and social skills. Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and curiosity among toddlers. Manage daily classroom routines including lesson planning, circle time, play-based learning, and rest periods to ensure consistency and structure. Utilize child development principles to guide behavior management strategies that foster positive interactions and emotional regulation. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about each child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through conferences, reports, and informal updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of children's developmental progress and incidents. Lead classroom team efforts by mentoring assistant teachers or aides, coordinating activities, and promoting a collaborative team atmosphere focused on continuous improvement. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques when working with children who have additional needs or developmental delays. Maintain current certifications such as First Aid and CPR to ensure safety standards are met at all times. Support the overall welfare of children by implementing classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and respect for others. Experience Proven experience working with children aged two years old in a licensed childcare setting or preschool environment. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education. Prior experience developing curriculum plans that include literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning for toddlers. Familiarity with classroom management techniques tailored to young children's needs to foster a positive learning environment. Experience working with children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential. Classroom experience involving daycare or private preschool settings is highly desirable. Pay:
