What We're Looking For:
Active North Carolina licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Endorsement Experience working with ECATS (Exceptional Children Accountability Tracking System) Demonstrated expertise in adapting curriculum and classroom materials to meet individualized learning plans Strong collaboration and communication skills for teaming with educators, families, and related service professionals Flexibility to work full time or part time during the 2026-2027 school year
What You'll Do:
Design, implement, and monitor individualized educational programs tailored for students with visual impairments in a school-based environment Conduct O&M assessments and provide direct instruction to encourage independence and safety Consult with classroom teachers and support staff to adapt instructional materials and ensure accessibility Contribute to IEP meetings, documentation, and progress reports using ECATS Serve as an advocate and resource for students and families navigating educational support systems
