Use student data to adjust instruction, accommodations, and supports.

Establish predictable routines and use positive, individualized behavior supports.

Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, instructional assistants, and school leaders.

Guide instructional assistants in carrying out classroom routines and student supports.

Communicate regularly with families about student progress, needs, and successes.

Lead or participate in IEP meetings and complete required documentation on time.

Support students' participation in the broader school community whenever appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and eligibility for the appropriate North Carolina teaching license in Exceptional Children.

Knowledge of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, behavior support, and progress monitoring.

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
