Job Description

Make a lasting difference by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher within a middle school environment. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 4, 2027, offering stability and purpose as you guide learners with diverse needs. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, for 37.5 hours weekly, with scheduled hours from 7:15am to 3:15pm.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for middle school level Proven experience working within self-contained settings, supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities Strong classroom management skills, adaptability, and a compassionate approach Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff Commitment to providing individualized support based on
IEPs Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver tailored instruction to meet students educational and behavioral needs within a self-contained classroom Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring compliance with all state and federal special education regulations Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families, fostering an inclusive learning environment Monitor student progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with caregivers and team members Support social-emotional development and promote positive behavior interventions
