Job Description
- Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Soliant Education is seeking qualified and dedicated Elementary Special Education Teachers for full-time, school-based opportunities in Hickory, North Carolina for the 2026-2027 school year.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction based on individual student needs and IEP goals
- Adapt instructional strategies and materials to support student learning
- Monitor student progress and use data to guide instructional decisions
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning and goal development
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and student records
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment

- Two full-time elementary Special Education Teacher opportunities
- 2026-2027 school year
- Elementary school setting
- School-based, on-site positions
- One position requires a North Carolina Adapted Curriculum Special Education license
- One position requires a North Carolina General Curriculum Special Education license
- Specific caseloads, classroom settings, and assignment details will be discussed during the interview process
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active North Carolina Special Education teaching license appropriate for the assigned position required
- Adapted Curriculum licensure required for the adapted curriculum opening
- General Curriculum licensure required for the general curriculum opening
- Previous elementary or Special Education teaching experience preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
